A group of Year 9 pupils visited Swansea University earlier this week to participate in a Critical Thinking Skills Day.
The 30 pupils took part in a workshop based on the theme of media perceptions of young people. They were encouraged to engage in discussion and debate, as well as analysing media sources across time. The focus of the day was on developing wider skills that will help the pupils in all their subjects. Critical and analytical skills are essential for GCSE study and so the day was an excellent opportunity for pupils to prepare for Year 10 and 11.
The pupils participated enthusiastically throughout the day and were a credit to the school.
