Over 30 Year 7 and Year 8 pupils have completed their Headstart intervention this term by reading a range of fiction and non-fiction texts, producing pieces of extended writing and practising for the upcoming NRT tests after the Easter break. All pupils have worked very hard and enjoyed the experience. We wish you all well for the rest of the year from Miss John and Mrs Hopkins.
“We enjoyed coming to Headstart as the teachers are fun and we enjoyed the book. We felt comfortable working in a small group and we got to know other pupils who we wouldn’t normally be friends with.” By Carla, Alice and Nishat.
“We really enjoyed the book called “Freerunner”. We have improved our reading skills and wish we could come back again.” By Year 8 pupils.
