Year 12 Students Accepted Into Oxford University UNIQ Summer School

Four students from Bishop Vaughan School Sixth Form have been accepted into the highly competitive UNIQ summer school, run by Oxford University.

The summer schools are designed to give students a taste of university life at Oxford. Students attend lectures and seminars for their chosen subject, as well as living in university accommodation for the week. There were 3960 applications to the scheme this year and only 875 places, so the school is delighted that 4 of these places are going to our students.

Alys will be studying Chemistry, BJ will be studying Biomedicine, Hollie will attend the Theology summer school and Ira has a place for the Medicine summer school. All four are very excited to attend and are confident the experience will strengthen their university applications next year.
