Bishop Vaughan School would like to formally congratulate the Current Year 11 (2011 – 2016) boys Football team and thank them for their efforts and achievements. This group of boys have won the Swansea Schools Cup in all five years that they have played which is an outstanding achievement. They have also reached the latter stages of the Welsh Schools Cup at all levels narrowly losing out in the final of the Under 15 competition last year. This team also travelled to Paris in 2015 to compete against teams from all over Europe in the International Youth Festival of Football. The trip proved a great success with our team qualifying out of the group stages and going on to win the semi-final and final with Elliot Smith picking up the Official Goal of the Tournament. The boys have always played the game in the spirit which we expect at Bishop Vaughan which embodies the ethos of our school. Hard working, resilient, keen to help eachother with a mutual respect for both staff, team-mates and opposition alike, the boys have been a pleasure to watch and develop during their time here. We would also like to thank Mr Mike Jones and Mr Joe Walters for their efforts in helping the boys continue with their progress.
