During the week after Safer Internet Day 2018, the Digital Leaders, Mrs Morgan & Mrs Smale worked through the numerous entries for the competition held for Safer Internet Day. There were many excellent entries and it was extremely difficult for the Digital Leaders to whittle the entries down to just three per year group. On offer for the winners of the competition were five merit points, a front of the queue pass and also a text message home. Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally on the 6th February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people. The focus of this year’s Safer Internet Day was “Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you”. All pupils were involved in an interactive assembly that was presented by Mrs Morgan and then pupils were asked to produce a pledge of at least one thing they could do in order to be safe whilst online.
