Safeguarding & Wellbeing

The first priority of Bishop Vaughan is safeguarding the wellbeing of our pupils. We are committed to the highest standards in protecting and safeguarding our pupils who are trusted to our care at all times. Safeguarding is the process of protecting children and young people from abuse and neglect, preventing impairment of their health and development and insuring that they achieve their full potential. Safeguarding encompasses a wide range of issues. At Bishop Vaughan we have developed strong relationships with families and we feel that student learning goes hand in hand with student wellbeing. There are two Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officers in addition to seven Heads of Year and two Key Stage Progress Leaders at Bishop Vaughan who work collaboratively with all staff in the school to ensure that our pupils become successful learners whilst developing positive attitudes and healthy behaviours.

Should you wish to discuss issues surrounding your son/daughter please contact their Head of Year in the first Instance.
