Pupils get creative for National Poetry Day
During the day of October 8th, there was a special event held in the library to celebrate ‘National Poetry Day’. There were many activities held during lunchtime which included an arts and crafts station, make your own poem station, and finally a reading corner (and there were even bean bags to sit on!) Also, in the silent reading corner, there were poems that we wrote in class and some poems written by famous poets as well. We had a previous event, which was World Book Day and we held a competition in which we had to design a book cover of our favourite book. That event was a very big success as well. I really enjoyed ‘National Poetry Day’, it was very enjoyable, and I cannot wait until we have the next literacy event.
