A student in Bishop Vaughan Sixth Form has won a £1000 prize for the school after taking part in a business competition.
Ashwin, in Year 12, was a finalist in the Linklaters Making Links Schools Challenge. The Making Links Schools Challenge aims to help young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to develop their commercial awareness and presentation skills. Ashwin was one of 20 finalists selected from across the United Kingdom after a rigorous process.
After participating in the virtual grand final, Ashwin was awarded a personal prize, as well as winning £1000 for the school. The prize money will be used to fund a business and law library so other Bishop Vaughan students can develop their knowledge and understanding of these fields in preparation for future university applications.
The school extends its congratulations to Ashwin on his fantastic achievement.
