Due to the forecast of snow later today, as a precaution, the school will close at 2.00pm this afternoon with school buses arranged for this time. Children who do not travel by bus will be texting parents at lunchtime to confirm how they will be getting home.
Parents will then need to text confirmation to their child, eg “Wait for me to pick you up as usual”, “You can walk home as usual”, “You can catch a public bus”, which will then be shown to their tutor before being allowed to leave. If your child does not have a phone or cannot contact home, tutors and Heads of Year will be arranging contact.
Lunchtime will be taking place from 1.15pm to 1.45pm, meaning children will have opportunity to have food before going home.
