Two students from BVS achieved scholarships to the UCLH medicine summer school in July.
Alwin and Ffion were selected out of a highly competitive application process to attend a medicine summer school at the University College London Hospital. Both students participated in a number of medical workshops in the state-of-the-art surroundings of UCLH and learned about different aspects of healthcare in the NHS.
The scholarships were awarded by the Mullany Fund, a life science social mobility charity. The Mullany Fund has worked with our pupils for several years, offering projects such as online mentoring and medical workshops at Singleton Hospital. Alwin, Ffion and the school are incredibly grateful for the Mullany Fund’s ongoing support of our students.
