This year’s A-Level results day was once again a cause for celebration at Bishop Vaughan! Students at Bishop Vaughan have excelled in both their A-Level and vocational qualifications, achieving impressive Sixth Form results!
Shuvita, pictured below, was delighted with her A*, A* and A grades, and she goes on to read Medicine at Keele University. Shuvita stated ‘Thank you to all my teachers, family and friends for supporting me. I’m very happy and proud today of all of us – we did it!’
With pupils taking up places to read courses from Medicine, Optometry and Nursing to Software Engineering, Architecture, Aerospace Engineering and Education, the future looks bright not only for these brand-new undergraduates, but also for those whose lives their important work will touch, meaning that they will truly be making invaluable contributions to the world around them.
Mrs Pole, Headteacher, congratulated all of those receiving results today, stating ‘We are proud beyond measure of our exceptional students and their wonderful achievements. They have excelled in so many fields. We are delighted to see that their results place them above the Welsh national averages for A*-A and A*-E grades, this testifying to their hard work and that of their teachers and support staff. Above all, we are proud of the fact that they are young people with such impressive values – compassion, generosity of spirit and wisdom. It is always humbling to see all that they achieve in addition to their studies, whether that is voluntary work, pursuing their sporting ambitions, leading or participating in other extra-curricular activities or supporting those around them. The excellent outcomes they have received today are truly deserved.”
Mike Hedges, MS for Swansea East, visited us this morning to congratulate our students on their fantastic results. Pictured with Mike Hedges, Harry Collins (centre), was delighted at gaining his university place to study Quantity Surveying at Bristol UWE, stating ‘A human being is not attaining his full heights until he is educated.’
Ruby Mackennall, also pictured, and who gained a A, A, B and B grades, stated ‘I’m so happy with my results! Thank you to Bishop Vaughan for all of the help they have given me to help me get these grades.’
We wish all of our pupils every blessing and every success as they embark on their exciting next steps!
