A Busy Summer for BVS Students

Students at Bishop Vaughan School have made the most of their summers by taking part in summer schools and research placements across the UK.

Students in Year 11 and 12 participated in a number of summer schools, including the Christ's College Summer School at Cambridge University, the Step Up residential programme at Swansea University and the UNIQ scheme at Oxford University. These students attended lectures and masterclasses in order to gain a taste of university life and prepare for future UCAS applications.

A number of Year 12 students also took part in Nuffield research placements, working alongside academics as part of research projects. Placements included a psychology project at Cardiff University and working in the National Museum for Wales in Cardiff. These were demanding projects, which all our students completed successfully.

The summer schemes and research placements were arranged with the support of the school's specialist supercurricular programme. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact Miss Siddika.
