The inaugural Prom Fayre took place in Bishop Vaughan last night, with local businesses attending to offer pupils prom services for next year.
The Prom Fayre was the brainchild of Caitlin in in Year 11, who worked with Miss Wilshire, her Head of Year, and others in the year group to organise the event.
Prom dress and suits were on display from local businesses. Beauty services, including make-up and nail treatments, were offered by both current and former BVS pupils, highlighting the range of skills on offer amongst our pupils.
Caitlin also organised a ‘pre-loved’ dress stall, with a range of donated prom and evening dresses. These dresses are available to current Year 11 students in order to ensure their prom is an affordable and enjoyable evening for all.
Caitlin and Miss Wilshire also organised a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.
The evening was a great success and it is hoped to repeat the event next year in order to build on this.
