A group of Year 11 pupils attended a work experience day at Morriston Hospital over half term.
The pupils have all participated in the Mullany Fund e-mentoring programme, which is an online mentoring scheme which connects young people with medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, vets and other life sciences. The mentors provide advice, support and guidance to pupils who are interested in careers in the the life sciences.
The Mullany Fund also offers work experience opportunities to some mentees. This term, three pupils from BVS were selected to attend work experience at Mossiron Hospital. They participated in medical workshops, met doctors and nurses and learned about a number of aspects of medicine. The pupils enjoyed the day and learned a great deal that will help them in future university applications.
