Bishop Vaughan School participated in the Being Human Festival last week. BHF is an annual Humanities Festival with events across the country. This year’s theme was ‘Lost and Found’ and the school hosted a talk by Dr Luca Trenta of Swansea University on the topic of the Cuban Missile Crisis and documents that have been uncovered that offer a new light on this dramatic event.
History pupils from Years 10-13 attended the talk and participated in a Q&A session afterwards. The talk was very informative and particularly relevant in light of current world events. Bishop Vaughan School was delighted to host the event and be part of the wider Being Human Festival.
